The AFR gauge allows you to <strong>KNOW</strong> exactly how well your tune-up is performing. The EFI fueling allows you to <strong>CONTROL</strong> any necessary fine tuning without spending more money or valuable time.</p><h2>Afr Gauge Customization</h2><p>The AFR gauge has three different customizing options to make the gauge look as good as possible on your vehicle. You can choose two different options for the needle, label, and bezel. The needle can be either orange or white. The label can be either black or a light gray. The bezel can be chrome or black.</p><h2>Full On-The-Fly Tuning</h2><p>The <strong>AFR+</strong> offers 'on-the-fly' adjustment using three push buttons on the gauge. With power supplied to the unit by either starting the vehicle or just turning the key on, the adjustment modes are accessed by pressing the MODE button. Setting changes are then made for each respective mode by pressing the LEFT (<--) and RIGHT (-->) buttons. No extra tools are required to make tuning adjustments. Any changes made to the mode settings are instantaneously applied even if you are out riding.</p><h2>Fully Programmable</h2><p>The <strong>AFR+</strong> is programmable using an IrDA adapter. Setups are developed through an online tuning environment called POWERLAB. The <strong>AFR+</strong> can be changed to be an add-on fuel trimmer or a complete EFI controller which can run in auto-tune mode.</p><h2>No Dyno Required</h2><p>You do not have to be a professional mechanic or tuner and have access to a dynamometer in order to tune your vehicle with the <strong>AFR+</strong>. The AFR gauge allows you to KNOW exactly how well your tune-up is performing in real world riding situations. The unit breaks down a drive cycle into very understandable zones to make adjustments. Most units have the basic Idle/Cruise, Acceleration, and Full Throttle zones to adjust. Every rider can understand this terminology. The greatest advantage about tuning your vehicle yourself is your ride will be custom set up to your driving style.</p><h2>Plug-N-Play Installation</h2><p>All of the offered <strong>AFR+</strong> units are plug-n-play installations meaning you do not have to hard wire in any of the electrical components. Most installations do require the welding in of an 18mm O2 bung into your exhaust pipe. Some installations can use the O2 bung already in their pipe and just change out the narrowband sensor with the wideband sensor. The wideband controller requires you to locate the OEM injector connections or a sub-harness connection on your vehicle. Most of the time this will only require you to remove a few components to gain access to these injector connections. A number of new applications will also require you to find the stock narrowband O2 connections on your vehicle if present. Power for the unit is gained through the injector connections and a black ground wire just needs to be attached to the negative terminal on the battery if present or by a metal screw onto the vehicle frame. After physically installing the controller in most cases you are all set to go on a test ride.</p><h2>Uses Unique Load Based Technology</h2><p>The controller uses Load Based Technology which sets it apart from most of the competition. Most EFI controllers use what is called 'Alpha-N' Tuning Technology. Alpha-N tuning is associated with just using Throttle Position (TPS) and RPM as the factors to make tuning adjustments. Load Based Technology differs by using Rate, TPS and RPM as the key factors for adjustment. Load Based tuning allows a user to tune their vehicle for every gear and for all riding conditions. Load can easily be explained by stating that riding up a hill puts more "load" on the vehicle than driving on a flat road, but yet the same TPS and RPM can be achieved in both circumstances.</p><h2>Offers Full Range Tunability</h2><p>The EFI controller is sold as an Electronic Jet Kit. Like carburetor jet kits of the past the controller offers a range of adjustability to tune your vehicle. Instead of physical jets and needles the controller has this adjustability built into the unit and can quickly be adjusted while riding the vehicle. Essentially with all EFI vehicles software has replaced some hardware. The controller can be installed and set to actually allow the user to still run a stock configuration, but allows the user to ADD or PULL fuel within easy to understand tuning zones.</p><h2>Does Not Interfere With Stock Ecu Operation</h2><p>This is a very common feature of all after market EFI controllers, but needs to be stated to reassure all end users. The controller does not trip any engine codes or affect the ECU operation in any way.</p><h2>Water-Resistant</h2><p>The hardware components within both the gauge and wideband controller are covered with a substance to make the units water-resistant. The parts are still electrical devices and without this coating would short-circuit when in contact with water based substances. MAIN CAUSE has been related to the belt which may have too much deflection or may be slipping. These tunes modify all the necessary maps to create big horsepower, while still maintaining a reliable and safe Ranger. Each tune is built specifically for your Powervision allowing us to change the tire size or fan temp if needed.</p><h2>Custom Tunes Powervision Features:</h2><ul><li>Huge horsepower & speed gains! The factory 60 or 68 horsepower (depending on year) Ranger 900 is very limited from the factory, and we are here to help. The key to more horsepower on this platform is opening the throttle fully by removing torque limits, and then gaining up RPM which is limited not only in programming, but by clutching also. Peak power is made between 7900-8200 RPM, so clutching is highly recommended for best performance.</li><li>The level 2 tune has all the features of the level 1 tune, but the fueling is designed for an exhaust system. The AFR gauge allows you to <strong>KNOW</strong> exactly how well your tune-up is performing. The EFI fueling allows you to <strong>CONTROL</strong> any necessary fine tuning without spending more money or valuable time.</p><h2>Afr Gauge Customization</h2><p>The AFR gauge has three different customizing options to make the gauge look as good as possible on your vehicle. You can choose two different options for the needle, label, and bezel. The needle can be either orange or white. The label can be either black or a light gray. The bezel can be chrome or black.</p><h2>Full On-The-Fly Tuning</h2><p>The <strong>AFR+</strong> offers 'on-the-fly' adjustment using three push buttons on the gauge. With power supplied to the unit by either starting the vehicle or just turning the key on, the adjustment modes are accessed by pressing the MODE button. Setting changes are then made for each respective mode by pressing the LEFT (<--) and RIGHT (-->) buttons. No extra tools are required to make tuning adjustments. Any changes made to the mode settings are instantaneously applied even if you are out riding.</p><h2>Fully Programmable</h2><p>The <strong>AFR+</strong> is programmable using an IrDA adapter. Setups are developed through an online tuning environment called POWERLAB. The <strong>AFR+</strong> can be changed to be an add-on fuel trimmer or a complete EFI controller which can run in auto-tune mode.</p><h2>No Dyno Required</h2><p>You do not have to be a professional mechanic or tuner and have access to a dynamometer in order to tune your vehicle with the <strong>AFR+</strong>. The AFR gauge allows you to KNOW exactly how well your tune-up is performing in real world riding situations. The unit breaks down a drive cycle into very understandable zones to make adjustments. Most units have the basic Idle/Cruise, Acceleration, and Full Throttle zones to adjust. Every rider can understand this terminology. The greatest advantage about tuning your vehicle yourself is your ride will be custom set up to your driving style.</p><h2>Plug-N-Play Installation</h2><p>All of the offered <strong>AFR+</strong> units are plug-n-play installations meaning you do not have to hard wire in any of the electrical components. Most installations do require the welding in of an 18mm O2 bung into your exhaust pipe. Some installations can use the O2 bung already in their pipe and just change out the narrowband sensor with the wideband sensor. The wideband controller requires you to locate the OEM injector connections or a sub-harness connection on your vehicle. Most of the time this will only require you to remove a few components to gain access to these injector connections. A number of new applications will also require you to find the stock narrowband O2 connections on your vehicle if present. Power for the unit is gained through the injector connections and a black ground wire just needs to be attached to the negative terminal on the battery if present or by a metal screw onto the vehicle frame. After physically installing the controller in most cases you are all set to go on a test ride.</p><h2>Uses Unique Load Based Technology</h2><p>The controller uses Load Based Technology which sets it apart from most of the competition. Most EFI controllers use what is called 'Alpha-N' Tuning Technology. Alpha-N tuning is associated with just using Throttle Position (TPS) and RPM as the factors to make tuning adjustments. Load Based Technology differs by using Rate, TPS and RPM as the key factors for adjustment. Load Based tuning allows a user to tune their vehicle for every gear and for all riding conditions. Load can easily be explained by stating that riding up a hill puts more "load" on the vehicle than driving on a flat road, but yet the same TPS and RPM can be achieved in both circumstances.</p><h2>Offers Full Range Tunability</h2><p>The EFI controller is sold as an Electronic Jet Kit. Like carburetor jet kits of the past the controller offers a range of adjustability to tune your vehicle. Instead of physical jets and needles the controller has this adjustability built into the unit and can quickly be adjusted while riding the vehicle. Essentially with all EFI vehicles software has replaced some hardware. The controller can be installed and set to actually allow the user to still run a stock configuration, but allows the user to ADD or PULL fuel within easy to understand tuning zones.</p><h2>Does Not Interfere With Stock Ecu Operation</h2><p>This is a very common feature of all after market EFI controllers, but needs to be stated to reassure all end users. The controller does not trip any engine codes or affect the ECU operation in any way.</p><h2>Water Resistant</h2><p>The hardware components within both the gauge and wideband controller are covered with a substance to make the units water-resistant. The parts are still electrical devices and without this coating would short-circuit when in contact with water based substances. The parts are NOT 100% water proof, but will continue to function properly through rainstorms, snow, washing your vehicle, etc.</p><p><strong>NOTE:</strong> DO NOT cut any wires or apply dielectric grease to the terminals inside any connectors. Doing so will automatically void the warranty on your AFR+ system.</p><p>The controller also does NOT void any OEM vehicle warranty. A common mispractice of dealers is to tell customers certain products will void their newer vehicle's warranty.
